A Short History of Colloidal Silver

Updated: Dec 22, 2019

Testaments through the ages describe the use of silver to self-medicate and cure diseases caused by bacteria, fungi, and viruses. Science agrees that colloidal silver kills these microbes in vitro, and pathogens cannot develop resistance to it!

Throughout history, people have used silver pitchers and dishes to purify water and prevent food from spoiling. Pioneers dropped a silver coin in milk to keep it from going bad. Churches used silver communion goblets to prevent diseases from spreading through the congregation. From these experiences, we learned that silver is a valuable nutritional supplement!

Silver was the standard of care before 1938. It was a well-known panacea and a staple in most homes. However, it was expensive for pharmaceutical companies to manufacture, so they invented antibiotics as a cheap alternative. Because they had so much money, power, and influence, pharmaceutical companies smeared competitors, vilifying more effective treatments like colloidal silver, and it fell out of favor. Powerful business interests continue to dominate the healthcare market, and consumers endure biased information. In truth, colloidal silver continues to be so gentle and effective that it is dropped in the eyes of newborns to cure conjunctivitis in hospital settings. Silver is also regularly used in salves for burn and wound dressings in that industry.

"Thanks to eye-opening research, silver is emerging as a wonder of modern medicine. An antibiotic kills perhaps a half-dozen different kinds of disease organisms, but silver kills some 650. Resistant strains fail to develop. Moreover, silver is virtually nontoxic." --Jim Powell

Our Colloidal Silver is 100 ppm--that's 10 times stronger than other varieties available on the market! The nanoparticles are only 10 nanometers in size; each particle is about 27 million times smaller than an inch! Silver nanoparticles of this size in a suspension refract light in a particular range of the visible color spectrum; thus, our product is a beautiful amber color.

This colloidal silver is produced at one of only two labs in the world who produce at this grade. In a government study, this lab's colloidal silver demonstrated an ability to kill Ebola-like viruses in vitro.

The nanoparticles in our product are much smaller than other colloidal silvers available and have superior properties of adhesion, bioavailability, and excretion. Because of this, our colloidal silver is safe for ingestion AND topical use. The larger particles in other products can collect under the skin and turn a person irreversibly blue (a condition called argyria) with long-term exposure, but our product carries no such risk, even when ingested in extremely high quantities (although we recommend supplementing with a probiotic if you consume more than 10 drops in a day).
